Digital Creative Director
One of the founding partners of HeadChannel, Andy is responsible for our overall creative vision. A graphic designer by training, he has worked with clients ranging from small businesses to multinational organisations, including Yorkshire Television, BBC Haymarket, PrePay Solutions, Nestlé, Arts Alliance and NATO. Andy is skilled at recognising technology’s role in creative development and finding the most cost-effective technical solutions. He is also an experienced interface designer who understands how wireframes, prototypes and functional specs fit into the big project picture. Andy’s favourite colour is purple.
Beata is responsible for overall strategic direction and overseeing the company’s continuing growth, building closer client relationships and maintaining best working practices. She is an experienced business manager with a client portfolio including the Home Office, West LB Bank, Financial Times newspaper and FT.com. She has helped shape and implement the former Immigration and Nationality Department’s IT strategy, was part of the West LB management team that secured the transition of all IT services to a new service provider, and implemented the Financial Times’ newspaper distribution system in its New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices. She enjoys brisk country walks with her red fox labrador and then relaxing in front of a TV crime drama with a glass of red wine.
Lead Business Analyst
Mark heads our team of project managers, ensuring the smooth progress of each project from initial assessment of a client’s needs to product development, testing, and delivery and client support. He constantly strives to get closer to what a client wants at the outset, thus saving time and money later. Mark joined our team in 2011 after working for various IT corporations. He’s an experienced programmer with a deep understanding of software management and development practices, such as the Waterfall standard and the Agile approach (Scrum methodology). Interests include swimming, cycling, making his own smoked meat and bread, exotic travel, and bringing up a young son.
Kate has managed some of our largest projects since joining as project manager in 2010. Her special focus is on implementing elements of the Scrum/Agile project management methodologies based on an interactive and incremental development process to ensure high project effectiveness, shorten time-to-market and improve team collaboration. She is passionate about people management and promoting HeadChannel’s core values of consistent quality and commitment. She likes travelling and is a keen astronomer.
System Architect/Senior .NET Developer
Raphael has been at HeadChannel for five years and since 2012 has acted as project leader on several large projects. One of his key tasks is implementing a new architecture (key building blocks in software development), which will become the base for most of our new projects. He will continue to ensure the team adheres to the same development standards in all our applications. He is a keen cook and enjoys experimenting with cuisines from around the world.
